Say hello to our 5-year-old, big, bouncy and loveable Zola.

Zola came to us through no fault of her own, her family struggled to find time for her. She is a big girl who simply does not know her own size and strength. Bit of a bull in a China shop.

She arrived to us a bit underweight but she is getting there. She loves her treats for training and works very hard. She is a clever girl who is now looking for a forever home.

Upon first meeting people she can be a little unsure but after some slow introductions she will be your best friend. With people she is comfortable with she can’t get enough of the fuss and attention, especially a good bum scratch, she will show her love by flopping into you and expecting belly rubs.

Zola is a very clever girl who knows basic commands, sit, down, stay, paw, but does pull quite a bit on lead and will need a handler who is comfortable handling a bigger dog and who will be able to work on her loose lead walking going forward. She is so clever she even knows how to open doors so care must be taken around this.

She loves her toys and flinging them about and is simply just a big goof ball in general. She LOOOVES her enrichment especially a wobble Kong, she loves batting it about and finding her biscuits from it. Zola loves going for a walk and exploring and finding new area to smell, she is looking for home with experience of larger breeds and who are able to physically handle this excitable girl.

Due to her strength, we are taking her dog introductions slowly and her adopters will need to continue to work on this. She had a negative experience with a dog in her previous home and is nervous of dogs as a result.

She is toilet trained and will let you know when she needs to go.

Zola is looking for a home as the only pet, but can live with dog savvy children 16+ and a main handler who is physically able to manage her also.
