Meet Poppy, our very pretty 3-year-old Tortie & White domestic shorthair!

Poppy had quite a horrendous ordeal before ending up in our care. She was involved in a traffic accident and suffered a broken jaw. Vet care was sought initially but unfortunately the treatment was not completed and the RSPCA inspectors had to step in. We’re happy to say she is now fully fit and ready for a fresh start in a new home.

Poppy wasn’t amused to find herself in the cattery, and made her feelings known to staff, giving a nip or swipe here and there when we had to handle her or touch her belongings. Who could blame her given what she had been through?
But then, Poppy landed a super foster home where they have spent the last few weeks getting to know her so that we can now confidently say, that spicy cattery cat is actually a secret sweetheart!

Poppy is confident and playful in her nature. She is a real adventurer, loves climbing, chasing and watching the wildlife. She’s also cheeky, helping herself to the biscuits and trying to fool you that she’s not been fed! But she also has an affectionate side, and enjoys fuss when you let her come to you. She will even give little nose licks and kisses.

Poppy uses a cat flap and litter trays without issue. Poppy is looking to be the only pet, in a calm home with children 16+
