Mimi is our sweet but nervous, 6-month-old Domestic shorthair.

When Mimi came to us, she was described as ‘semi feral’ she came to us from a multi-cat house with severe cat flu, luckily, we got her into foster with the most loving family and she has really turned around.

Here is what Mimi's foster family have to say about her:

“Mimi was very clearly not used to people and spent her time hiding in a carrier or igloo bed, but she has literally come on in leaps and bounds. It has taken time and patience for this sweet, shy girl to learn to trust, she can still be nervous and easily startled into rushing back to her hidey place, but now loves a stroke and a tummy rub, shows affection and has just started to get up on the settee with us”.

“She is very suspicious of anything new - treats always help! She loves to play, and seems to have had no opportunity to learn to jump or climb, so we’ve had to help her develop these skills. Her comfort zone used to be just around her safe hidey place under a chair, but now she happily scampers around two rooms when enjoying a play, chasing strings or catching fluffy mice. Mimi’s personality is really starting to emerge as her confidence grows, and it’s time for her to build trust in her forever people”.

“We are sure she will be a lovely companion; we will miss her!”.

Due to this shy girl’s temperament, she is to be a house cat, she is looking for an adult only home with no other pets.

This assessment is ongoing and subject to change.
