Meet Marmalade, our 4-year-old Ginger and White female Domestic Shorthair!

This little lady has unfortunately been in our care since before Christmas, she came from a multi-cat household and has had to battle a very bad case of flu before she could go out into foster and start learning how to be a cat!

Marmalade is extremely nervous of contact with humans at the moment. Despite making some progress in her foster home, she will definitely need a lot of time, space and patience in her new home. It will be a long time before Marmalade is up for cuddles, and there is a chance she might never really be that kind of cat. It is possible to stroke Marmalade once she builds a bit of trust with you, however she really isn’t sure about it yet.

When given space Marmalade is a happy little cat and will play for hours throughout the day with little balls, mice, feathers, bells… anything she can throw and chase after! She is not confident enough to play with people or chase the flirt pole yet but she will watch it inquisitively! She loves a scratching post and a scratching box.

Marmalade uses her litter trays without issue. She will need to be the only pet in the household and would benefit from a quiet, adult-only home without a lot of visitors. She will need to be kept indoors as her nervous nature will put her in danger in the big wide world.

As Marmalade is on some behaviour medication to support her, she will be rehomed as foster-to-adopt so we can supply this initially.

We will get back to you if we think your home is a good match.

Due to the number of applications we will be receiving around this time, we will only contact those who we believe best match the criteria set out for each cat.
