Say hello to Jammie (F- white and Black) and Dodger (M – Black and White) our 7-Month-Old Domestic Shorthairs
These angels came to us with another cat but with no reason for being given up, they are two very sweet and gentle babies who are ready to find their forever home together.
Jammie is a little more reserved of the two, she definitely gets a lot of her confidence from Dodger and he is more than happy to lead the way and help her out. She is wary of new people, so slow introductions are best and to allow her to come to you. She LOVES a good treat, especially lick-i-lix, she will even take some from your hand.
Although nervous once she has had an initial sniff and if she is comfortable enough, she will play with you a little at a distance with a flirt pole (when Dodger isn’t trying to steal it from us).
Dodger is the more confident of the two, he was quick to venture out into the cattery and potter around like he owns the place, but don’t let this trick you, he is still a very sensitive lad, who needs slow introductions also and to build up to being handled. But play will be a brilliant way to build a bond with this lad, and of course some tasty treats
Although these babies don’t LOVE affection right now, we do think this is something they will grow to enjoy, especially with the right family. They simply need some time, patience and plenty of care to know they are in safe hands that they can trust.
Both babies are able to use their litter trays and cat flap.
Jammie and Dodger are looking for an adult only home as the only pets, a quieter home would be more suitable to allow them to settle in and ensure they feel and comfortable and as safe as possible.
