Chester is our sweet and loving Ginger Domestic Short Hair boy.
When Chester arrived in our care, he was a very shy and nervous little boy. Each day since then, he has been growing in confidence and showing us more and more of his beautiful personality.
When approach Chester, he may run away or shy away from you at initially, but once he realises that you're not a threat to him he becomes a purring and head bumping professional. Once he feels safe and happy, Chester has no issues whatsoever having fuss or being handled. He is also content to be picked up for a cuddle and will happily purr away and make biscuits in your arms.
Chester takes a while to feel comfortable in new environments but with plenty of positive encouragement and love, he starts to feel more relaxed. Although Chester may shy away from you as you at first, he has lots of love to give. With this sweet boy, you will get endless amounts of affection when he knows you. He can be an incredibly affectionate cat and he will come and sit on your knee or even climb on your back should he get the chance.
Chester does enjoy a gentle brush around his back but he isn't overly keen on the brush going near his face.
Due to Chesters initial uncertainty at times, he’s looking for a quieter home, with adopters that understand he will need to be approached calmy and with care, and to work with him at a pace he is comfortable with in regards to introductions.
So far, Chester has not been interested in playing with toys. His growing personality and confidence suggest that with time this may change when he’s settled into the home.
Chester can use the cat flap and he enjoys being on the outside of his pod where he can sit high on his cat scratching posts and watch the world go by.
As it has taken him some time to settle into cattery life, Chester would suit a home where any children are of secondary school age, and are understanding of his occasional nerves. He also would benefit from being the only cat in the home whilst he develops his confidence, as well as a home with no dogs.
If you think you can offer this handsome and sweet boy the forever home he so rightfully deserves then please email email@example.com to request an application form.
