Everyone meet our gorgeous boy George!

George is our 3-year-old cockerpoo, he ended up in our care through no fault of his own. He unfortunately has not settled well into kennel life and would much rather be with his people soaking up all the love he deserves.

George LOVES long slow walks where he can sniff everything and take his time. He is a little unsure of new surroundings and people so taking things nice and slow is important for him. But once he has warmed up to you and knows he can trust you, he will be your best friend for life! He is such a happy little boy who loves nothing more than cuddles in his bed and lots of attention.

George is enthusiast when it comes to treats which will benefit ongoing training however can get slightly distracted in interesting environments. George will require frequent professional grooms to maintain his coat. Whilst at the centre he shown no negative reactions to being groomed and he enjoys to be brushed.

Although unsure initially around other dogs, he is very curious and would benefit with continued work socialising and meeting polite mannered dogs, if a dog is too lively it can spook him a little. He knows basic commands such as "sit" and will walk nicely on a lead. It’s best to keep training sessions short as he does have a short attention span. George also enjoys playing with toys his favourite being soft stuffed toys.
George is currently being muzzle trained, which he is doing amazing with; this is just to ensure he is safe in scary environments such as the vets to ensure he can get the care he needs in that moment.

George is looking for an adult only home with no other pets. He would benefit from a quieter more predictable home.
