For the past year we have been desperately trying to raise funds so that we can improve an outdoor section of our kennel block.

2010 update:
We successfully raised enough funding to commence building work late last year. The Kennels have now been completed, and are a huge improvement. We cannot Thank people enough for their support and generosity in helping us reach our target. Below are photos of the completed runs.

During the day our canine residents are moved from their indoor kennels into individual outdoor runs to allow them to exercise and socialise, and also allow staff to thoroughly clean their indoor kennel and sleeping area. Unfortunately over time the outdoor runs had become quite unpleasant due to their age and general wear and tear. Parts of the roof had come away on some of the runs, meaning that when it rained water seeped through into the run making the floor very wet and uncomfortable for the dogs.

The outdoor runs are vital to the Centre. Without them we would be unable to clean the kennels or give the dogs exercise. Your donations have made a huge difference, the new runs are a massive improvement, each one is larger, and we can now open some runs up together to make larger areas where dogs can play out together and socialise.
