VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

We are at present in great need of homecheckers in the Preston and Chorley District to assist with rehoming the animals. We are also in need of mature, enthusiastic volunteers to help at the Centre with cleaning and assisting staff with various other duties.

Volunteering

The raising of the necessary funds to run the Centre is an uphill battle.

We have a small number of very dedicated volunteers who man stalls at various events and donate time to the RSPCA Charity Shop, help care for the animals at the Centre and also do home visiting. Without their generous support the Animal Centre could not operate properly.

If you think you could help in anyway we would be only to pleased to meet you. Our current volunteers do duties such as kennel assistant, fund raising, animal socializing and gardening.

Donations

Alternatively you may wish to make a donation.

This can be in the form of a cheque payable to Preston RSPCA Animal Centre. Please send cheques, or simply call in.

Below are other ways of donating to the Animal Centre:

You may wish to leave a legacy or bequest. A legacy or bequest to your local RSPCA can provide crucial funds - we could not carry out our work without such generous support. But please remember - all RSPCA branches are separately registered charities, so if you want your gift to help animals near you, you must ask your solicitor to make it clear in your will. Ask him or her to quote the Branch Name and Registered Charity Number.

Alternatively we have a “Friends of Preston Animal CentreDirect Debit Scheme for any amount you specify. It will entitle you to receive our newsletter published quarterly.

Please remember the majority of RSPCA Branches do not receive aid from Headquarters, nor does any RSPCA receive State or Lottery Aid. Therefore, your support is vital for the animal welfare in your area.

The RSPCA Preston & District Branch Animal Center takes in and re-homes around 1000 abandoned, unwanted and mistreated animals each year.
