Pets Needing New Homes

RSPCA Preston Branch Pets Needing New Homes

Special Appeals

Unfortunately for different reasons, some of our residents take slightly longer to find their "forever home" - sometimes due to age, or special requirements, or sadly even that fact that they might not be the prettiest looking pet in some people's eyes! The animals below desperately need your help to find their loving new homes, so if you can give one of these animals a home please get in touch.

Polly
Female
Crossbreed
18 months old

Polly is very affectionate and so loving, she enjoys being with people so much and will make a wonderfully loyal companion to her new owner. She is very sweet natured and well behaved, and just needs a second chance, she obviously hadn't had the best start in life. When Polly was found she had a sore skin irritation and her owner clearly hadn't taken her to a vet to have it treated. She is now fit and well and just needs a new start with someone who loves her.

Doris & Delilah
Female
5 months old

Doris and Delilah are both beautiful little ladies, They are around 5 months old and very sweet natured, and they are looking for a special home. When they arrived at the centre they were sneezing, so they were put onto antibiotics to clear this up. The vet believes that because they have come into contact with the virus at such a young age they will not have fully built up an immunity to it, therefore although their symptoms may clear, they will most likely always be carriers of the virus, so would need to be  the only cats in the home, and also be indoor house cats so that they cannot pass it to other cats. This would also benefit them as they will have a lower immunity to the infection aswell so prevent them contracting it from others too.

Betty Boo
Female
Domestic Short Haired Cat
Black

Betty Boo really needs your help!
She was found abandoned outside the RSPCA Vet Clinic near the town centre late at night.
When she arrived she seemed very healthy, but after a few weeks she developed an infected eye. She was treated for her eye condition but the vet believes that she will always be a carrier, therefore although her condition is not life threatening, it makes finding her a home a bit more difficult.
Betty Boo will need to be the only cat in the household, and she will also need to remain as an indoor house cat so that she cannot pass it onto others. We are really appealing for anyone who is able to offer her a home like this to ask to see her!

Blaze
Male
Staffie
3 years old

Blaze is a beautiful little boy in need of a new home. He is very sweet and has a brilliant character - sometimes he thinks he's a person rather than a dog! He will make a very loving and loyal pet. Can you be the person to make it come true for him?

Emma
Female
Domestic Short Haired Cat
Tabby & White

Emma was left abandoned in a box and rescued by an RSPCA Officer. She was terrified but is slowly getting better and settling in gradually. We think Emma will always be this way and so would need a new home on a farm/yard with outbuildings where she can come and go as she pleases, but still be provided with fresh food and water every day as she cannot completely fend for herself!
