| Bailey & Shadow |
 |
Hi
I just thought I’d drop you a quick update on Bailey and Shadow who have been living with us now for just over a year. Both of them are doing really well and Bailey has settled down and has much less reliance on Shadow and has learnt how to play and now likes nothing better than running on the beach.
Shadow is still quite nervous of strangers but were working with him and he’s doing very well, he’s had a haircut and is now nice and short for the summer. I’ve attached a couple of pictures from our recent holiday is Devon, we all go everywhere we can together now and they are a huge part of our family.
Thanks again for everything you do,
Regards

| Herbert & Nemo |
 |
Hi
I thought you would like an update on Nemo and Herbert, who have now been with me for a month. They settled in straight away, and Herbert decided that he owned the house from the moment he arrived. They are both very happy to have someone to play with all day, and spend a lot of time having a rough and tumble, with high speed chases through the house. Another favourite game is tug-of-war with an old shoe lace, so they manage to keep themselves entertained even when I am not there. The house is full of their toys, but Nemo’s hobby is to destroy cardboard boxes, and wallpaper. I usually come home to find them waiting on the windowsill for me, but I think that is just because they have very healthy appetites and want their tea. Herbert is fairly co-operative with being groomed, and will tolerate being brushed and trimmed, but it does help to pick the right moment. He quite likes to wash both Nemo and me as well, and pins Nemo down to wash him, which usually starts a wrestling match. Nemo is a bit calmer now that he has a lot of attention and is growing up well. Fortunately he is still small enough to fit under the furniture when he has had enough of wrestling with Herbert. He is fascinated by water, and always has to investigate the shower or bath water.

| Alfie |

Hi Everyone,
Just wanted to drop you a line to tell you how much i am loving my new home...i've been with my new mummy and daddy for 3 months now. You would be so proud of me now...i'm so brave now! I used to be a really really nervous boy and i hadn't had a great start in life, but i'm doing so much better now. I get to play with my toys all day long and mummy and daddy play with my squeaky ball with me at least 10 times a day! I get such lovely long walks in the fields behind my house and even get to say hello to the sheep! Thank you so much for looking after me when i needed rehoming and i hope all the other nice doggies and cats find a lovely home like me too.
Love from Alfie, 1 year and 3 months old.

| Choco |
 |
Hello RSPCA at Preston,
We took Choco home on Mon 10th May. She is settling in fine. She is a little nervous but is slowly coming out of herself. She loves the hammock in her cage and spends quite a lot of time in there.
She has a good appetite and loves rat chocolate drops along with rat muesli, nuggets, salmon, egg, rice, fruit, peas and veg etc. She will not eat lettuce or broccoli, but neither will the boys. I have not introduced her to my boys (two neutered ratties) yet as I am letting her get used to me first.
Regards, Ruth |

| Baxter |

| Winnie |
 |
Hi, Just a quick email to let you know how Winnie is getting on, Winnie is a 3-4 year old rotty that we got from you on the 27th July 2009, she has been and continues to be a fabulous addition to our family, she got on immediately with Sam our 10yr old Alsatian and they had great fun, we now have another member to our family in a 5month old Pug called Bobby, Winnie has taken Bobby as her own and although a great size difference they spend hours each day playing together and is so gentle with him, we have attached a few photos for you to look at and please use them as you wish. We would like to thank all the staff at Preston as we could not have asked for a better dog.
Thanks, Fiona and Graham

| Travis |
 |
Hi there- just thought i'd send in an email to let you know how happy i am with Travis. He's a good boy 90% of the time but i wouldn't change him as he's such a funny character (well maybe the chewing of furniture could go!). He seems really happy, and i can't imagine him not being here! Everyone comments on how handsome he is! Wish i knew why he likes ears so much though- hes always desperate to climb up and get them lol! He loves hugs and always wants to be close to you! Heres some pictures of him in his new home.
Thanks again Andy Gillett

| Ashley |
 |
Dear all staff at RSPCA Preston,
Just thought I would drop you a quick email to let you know how Domino (formerly known as Ashley!) is settling in in his new forever home! We brought Domino home on Saturday afternoon and he has settled in so well. He loves being stroked and rolls over on his back so that we can stroke his tummy! He has managed to find some very comfy spots around the house, attached are some photos of him relaxing on his own double bed (spoilt!) and curled up on my knee! He is a very happy kitty and is constantly purring! Eating well and enjoying the hundreds of toys which he's now spread out all over the house!
Thank you for everything and I will keep you updated as he settles in!
Kind Regards, Laura Hargreaves and James Roberts

| Scamp and Belle |
 |
"As you might remember we adopted Scamp late last year & then Belle a few weeks ago – both dogs are now extremely happy together and with Julie & me.
We had a few days of ‘friction’ between the two of them until they sorted themselves out but now they are the best of friends, as the photos show they love running about & chasing each other on the local park, fighting over sticks etc.
Scamp is the quieter of the two whilst Belle is really still a big puppy and really loves playing with anybody.
We are very pleased to have got two fantastic pets! Thanks "

Thank you for all the good work you do.
Best Wishes

"Just to let you know how Cylde is doing! Rocky (aka Clyde) now looks more full Staffie than a cross, he is a very handsome chap as you will see. Our boy is spoilt rotten and gets the most kisses of anyone in the house! Look forward to seeing you all soon.
Thanks again"

| Tilly |
 |
"Tilly (formerly Saskia) has settled wonderfully well with my husband, Derek and I. Just as her description said she does have a wonderfully sweet nature. She loves everyone and has a real enthusiasm for life. She enjoys going for long walks in the country lanes surrounding our home and has enjoyed trips to Beacon Fell and the beach at Lytham St Annes.
We couldn’t put a price on the pleasure our lovely girl has given us already and look forward to many happy times together in the years to come. Thanks "

| Prince |
 |
"Hi there, Its been 3 months since we welcomed Prince into our house and what a delightful little dog he's turned out to be!
Having overcome an initial problem with chewing his lead, Prince has turned out to be a proper little character with his favourite pastimes being eating, walking, chilling on the sofa, playing with his toys and chasing cats and squirrels!"

| Sherman |
 |
"I just thought I would send a quick e mail to let you know how Sherman (right) is doing. I have sent a picture of him with his friend Turbo here, they play together all the time on the park and they are now best friends. He has settled in really well, apart from a few shoe issues, which he took a liking to, but apart from that I am really happy with him. Sherman is a really affectionate dog who is very loving and protective! I think what you do at the centre is amazing and would like to say Thank You!"

| Maddox |
 |
"Maddox (previously known as Bullseye) was rehomed with us a month or so ago now. My girlfriend and I have been in to see you with him since rehoming with a letter of thanks and some pictures for you but I thought a picture for your Internet web site would be good if you need to brag anymore about the excellent job you do at the Centre." |
"Maddox has become a cheeky, confident and happy young man and has settled into his new family life brilliantly. He sleeps, eats, plays and pretty much lives like a king. He was given this second chance in life thanks to the amazing job you guys did for him and others alike.
On Maddox's behalf thank you and from both myself and my girlfriend Thank You!"

| Adonis |
 |
Adonis, a Great Dane Cross is a friendly dog who needed a little extra training but had the potential to make someone the perfect companion. He has finally been adopted and he is settling in really well and is very happy in his new home! |
|
| Mabel |
 |
Mabel is a very affectionate and loving cat who came in as a stray. She has finally found someone to love her and is doing really well in her new home, and is coping fine after her amputation! |
|
| Lionel |
 |
Lionel was a Special Appeal. He had been at the Centre since August 2007. He had been here for a long time because he couldn't stop sneezing. The vet tried lots of different lotions and potions but none of them would shift it. He needed a home suitable for him to be an indoor house cat, and be the only cat in the household, so that he couldn’t pass it to any other cats. We are very pleased that Lionel has finally been adopted by a family who can accommodate his needs, along with lots of love and attention. Congragulations Lionel! |
|
| Johnston |
 |
Johnston is one of the Centre's favourite dogs; he came in as a stray but his owner never came for him. He was a lovely old man needing the perfect quiet home where he could relax in his bed and go for a quiet stroll with his new owner.
He found his happy ending with his new family who couldn't have loved him more! |
|

|
| Tululah |
 |
Tululah is a beautiful girl and came to the Centre as a stray but her owner never came for her. She is very affectionate, and loves her cuddles! She can be quite a shy and timid character so would benefit from a quiet house. She has now been adopted by a suitable family. We wish her well! |
|
| Hoover |
 |
Hoover came to the Centre at the beginning of December 2007 as a stray. He is a lively dog who loves to play with his toys. He has now found a home with a caring family! |
|
| Molly |
 |
Molly came to the centre via an RSPCA Inspector in June 2007 because her owner was neglecting her. In January 2008 Molly got the home she so desperately deserved! She went to her new home with her new best friend, who was also previously adopted from the RSPCA. Congratulations Molly! |
