Special Appeal

We are desperately appealing for some of our cats that are struggling to find a loving home. Due to their nature, some of these cats have special requirements, and we can only assume that this is the cause for them being so over looked. Can you help with our appeal??

Sooty

DSH
Black with a White Patch
Adult

Sooty was brought in to the centre for rehoming as unfortunately his owner had to go into a nursing home. He is a handsome boy! Currently Sooty is being fostered by Auntie Julie along with his sort of friend Kitty (she is a lille reluctant to socialise with Sooty). Sooty has adapted very quickly to his surroundings and likes to make himself a den under the covers on the settee. He loves spending time watching the pig, chickens and geese from the window. Auntie Julie says that Sooty is a very clean boy who loves his food, he is very tolerant of being stroked but sometimes lets you know when he is not in the mood for attention. Recently Sooty has been let out to explore his new surrounding at his foster home, he is truly loving his independence and has made a big effort to become part of the cat social group. Auntie Julie has many rescue animals from dogs and cats to poultry and pigs and Sooty is adapting very well to them all, infact the staff at the centre are very much suprised by his response. Sooty is however still awaiting his forever home, having been out on foster we can now see that Sooty is able to live alongside a feline and canine companion, Children will need to be slighlt older (10+).

Currently being fostered, please contact the centre

Kitty

DSH
Tortie
Adult

Kitty is a very beautiful cat with quite a cheeky character, she is currently being fostered by my Aunty Julie who felt so sad that Kitty had been at the RSPCA for around 12 months with not one single enquiry. Kitty has been in her foster home for 2 months and although she truly loves her Aunty Julie dearly, its a little bit manic. We are appealing for a home more suited to Kitty's needs, thankfully fostering has helped show what these needs are. Kitty is longing for a home thats very quiet, with older children(14+) and no other pets. She was abused in my past so finds it difficult to trust people, she desperately wants attention but only likes it in small doses and on her terms. Kitty is very affectionate and will curl up on your knee, she does like a fuss but preferably whilst she is on the floor, she isn't to happy with being picked up.

Currently being fostered, please contact the centre
