Bella came to the centre after being found abandoned as a young puppy and in a bad way. She was very underweight and had a prolapse that needed urgent treatment. After being in the vets and undergoing an operation she came to settle into the centre. Things started well but it was soon realised that she would need to be on a small amount of medication and a special diet to keep her problem at bay until she is a little more mature. She is now about 5-6 months old and has spent the last few weeks in a foster home getting used to the comforts of life. She is already quite a big girl and loves to run around and play. She can be quite cheeky and gets into everything but when she looks at you with those huge puppy dog eyes you can’t help but fall for her. Bella is such a softie and loves to cuddle up on the sofa but she is going to be a big girl so someone with big dog experience would be great for her. She gets on well with other dogs and would be ok living with children 7 years+. If you are interested in giving Bella a forever home or you want any more information please contact the centre. As she is currently in foster we are taking applications for Bella and doing a sifting process to find her the perfect home.
Paris came to the centre because her previous owners could no longer care for her. She is very affectionate with people and doesn’t mind other cats as long as they don’t bother her. She is very affectionate and kind natured, she just loves to be fussed and stroked & any attention is most welcome. Paris really is a lovely cat, that deserves a lovely home.
Child age limit – 5+
Miximum hours to be left – 5-6
Ideal Situation – Indoor/outdoor
May be ok in a home with other quieter cats that will give her space
Jack is a very loving and affectionate young boy who loves to play with you and receive lots of fuss. He is very energetic and loves to have a run around and play with his toys.
Jack is working on learning his commands and would benefit from attending training classes to continue his training further.
Jack is very good with other dogs and will play happily with them with his toys. Jack pulls slightly on the lead , including trying to herd traffic so care would be needed when walking him along roads.
Jack would benefit from an experienced collie owner who understands their requirements.

Alfie is a lovely 7 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier. He loves the attention of people and is very affectionate and likes nothing more than running around and playing fetch. He knows his commands and is well behaved although he still thinks he is a giddy puppy from time to time. Whilst Alfie can get on with other dogs he can be quite selective so may not be good around dogs he doesn’t know so would be better as an only pet.
Minimum age of children – 14+
Minimum height of fences – 5 – 6 ft
Maximum hours to be left – 3 – 4

Bruce is a friendly 4 year old patterdale cross. He likes attention and being maid a fuss of but is also very inquisitive of his surroundings and likes to go off exploring when he has the chance. He is generally well behaved with people and knows some basic commands but is very energetic and needs a lot of exercise and stimulation. Unfortunately, Bruce doesn’t appreciate the company of other animals so would be looking for a home where he can get undivided attention as the only pet.

Barry is a beautiful six year old Dogue de Bordeaux who loves to be out and about on his walks. He is a very affectionate dog that loves a cuddle and is good with his commands when treats are involved. Barry loves to meet and great with other dogs but is quite persistant so due to his size can be a bit overwhelming for timid dogs.

Ghost came to the centre because his owner could no longer look after him and give him the exercise he needs. He is a very loving and playful young boy who can find the world quite scary. When he first arrived he was very nervous of new people and shied away but he soon came round and his sweet nature began to show. Ghost is quite a big boy and sometimes tries to give you hugs even if you don’t really want them so although he knows his basics he does need some training. Because he can be quite boisterous he would be better around older children (12+). Ghost needs a home with lots of exercise and stimulation and in return will give you lots of love.

Diggory is a beautiful young cat, who has a fantastic character about him. He loves to play with his toys, runs around really fast in a playful mood, but also likes to be fussed, stroked and cuddled. Diggory does not like other cats, so will have to be the only pet in the household (children 7 years + ) He is a very beautiful cat, with a lovely pink nose and pink ears, but during the summer months when Diggory goes outside in the sun, he will have to have sun cream put on his ears for protection. Diggory will make a great addition to most families, he really is a fantastic cat.
Anna and Elsa- Reserved
Anna and Elsa came to the centre together and we think they might be sisters. They very much enjoy each others company. They are both young rabbits, less than a year and very bonnie. Anna is the more timid of the two but does settle nicely when you are giving her attention. Elsa is a little more friendly and confident and will happily spend time with people but they both like being hand fed their faviourite veg. With a little more gentle handing they will make great family pets.
Domino is a giddy young playful boy who loves attention. He is very puppy-like and would really benefit from some extra training. He is bit nervous around other dogs and still needs a bit of practise socialising with them. He loves going on nice long walks and having a run around the field playing with his toys. Domino is a lovely energetic dog who would be well suited with an active family who are used to lively staffies.

Patrick came to the centre after being found as a stray. Although Patrick can be quite nervous at first he is a gorgeous rabbit and loves to lie in your arms and close his eyes whilst being stroked and groomed. Patrick gets on well with female rabbits and he would like a rabbit friend to be part of his new family.
This sweet little thing is Roy, a very young eleven year old Patterdale Terrier. He came to the centre in quite a state with his skin but despite his poor condition he soon became a favourite with everyone. Poor Roy has several conditions he has to deal with and will be on medication for the rest of his life but none of this stops him, he is a loving, active, older dog who just loves a cuddle and is very well mannered when receiving his treatments. He has been diagnosed with a severe allergic skin disease and has several medications in his food and baths to try and manage this problem but he also has dry eye meaning he requires eye drops several times through out the day. Roy is such a sweet little guy we really think he deserves a loving, caring family to look after him in his retirement. Although Roy doesn’t mind being left alone for short periods he will need someone to be around several times in the day to give him his eye drops. He also likes going on lots of walks and having snuggles on the sofa with you and his favourite toy. Due to his gentle nature he could be around children over 5 years old however he would prefer a quieter home without small children around all the time. Roy can get a little overexcited when meeting other dogs and can be quite vocal however if he is allowed to say hello he is very friendly and playful so could live with another dog, but due to his breed no cats. If you think you would be able to offer Roy the loving home he really deserves please come and meet him. We understand that the vet bills for a dog like Roy can add up so to help Roy find the right home the centre would be happy to do a supported adoption, if you would like to know more about this please contact the centre.
Charles’ Special Fostering Appeal
This is a very special appeal. We truly believe that there is a home for every animal, it’s just finding it and some may prove harder than others but when it happens, it’s worth it.
Charles is a 2 year old Mastiff and full of character. He can be quite determined at times but has responded great at the centre with his training. He cannot live his life in a kennel environment and now we need to help him with the next step of his journey.
We are looking for a long term fosterer, with a possible view to adopt. This person would need to visit multiple times to demonstrate they would be able to have full control of Charles and obviously to bond with him. They would need to be fairly local to the Preston area as its imperative that we receive regular contact.
As Charles is very big and headstrong he cannot go to a home with children or where children visit and there can’t be any cats or dogs there.
Minimum 6ft fences and secure garden will be needed so Charles has room to exercise off lead freely.
If you feel you might be able to offer this gorgeous lad a chance then please contact us as soon as possible. A member of our staff has worked so hard with Charles and this hard work and commitment has paid off. Charles has formed an extremely close bond with this member of staff but unfortunately he already has a dog so adoption isn’t possible but we know the right person is out there. Do you think that you might be the perfect person for Charles?
Bindy is a beautiful young cat. She is very fearful of her surroundings and flees from any human interaction. Bindy would benefit from a very quiet home where she can be given the time and the space to adjust to her new home. She is wary of human contact and would require a home where she would not be handled too much.
Liquorice and Jessie
Liquorice came to the centre when he was very young after being found all alone. We don’t think he had had any handling by people because he was very nervous. We soon decided that he might gain more confidence if we introduced him to a more confident friend…. enter Jessie. Jessie also came to the centre after being found wandering alone and seemed the perfect companion for Liquorice. She can be very noisy and likes to keep an eye on you while you are cleaning her pen. These two sweeties are looking for a home where they can be allowed to gain their confidence in their own time.
Buttercup and Bluebell
These two beautiful lop rabbits came to the centre after being found as strays. They can be very nervous with new people and are looking for a patient household where they can be allowed to gain confidence and have the love they deserve. If you think you are the family to give this beautiful pair their forever home please come and meet them.
Rudi is a young male rabbit who came to the centre after being found as a stray. He can be quite nervous but with some gentle encouragement in his new home he will gain more confidence and be the sweet rabbit we know he is. Rudi is looking for a female companion to help bring him out of his shell.
Holly is a lovely girl who enjoys being out and about as well as a good cuddle and stroke. She hasn’t been too fond of other dogs whilst at the centre but is definitely manageable when on the lead. Holly is very happy to play fetch with a couple of toys/balls and is working on walking on the lead better. She will make a great addition to a household with some experience of bigger dogs.

Alan is a beautiful boy, who came to the Centre as a stray. He had been a stray for some time and is now ready for his forever home. Alan will have to be the only cat in the household as he seems to like his own space. He can be a little temperamental at times and give a little swipe, but at the same time he likes to be fussed and stroked. Alan would be better in a household that is used to cats and especially ones that might scratch you from time to time, but I do feel that once he finds his forever home and settles back into a home environment, this might stop. Alan loves his dreamy treats and waits for them to be given to him every day. He is such a lovely big pussycat, that deserves a loving home, sitting by a warm fire and being pampered. Alan really is a beautiful boy.
Timmy and Tammy
Timmy and Tammy are two beautiful siblings who are finding cattery life quite scary. They would benefit from a quieter home where they could come out of their shell but they will soon settle in and become the playful, sweet young cats we know they are. We are looking to find them a home together so they have always got each others company and a home where they are given the time they need to build their confidence. Timmy and Tammy will be a great addition to the household.
Timmy: Male, 8 months old, Black.
Tammy: Female, 8 months old, Tortie.

Could live with other cats.
Rosie – Moved to Halifax
Rosie is a beautiful dog who has been waiting patiently for her forever home. Since being in our care she has blossomed and become a sweet girl who loves a nice walk and a play. Rosie has learnt some of her basic commands and really enjoys learning new tricks so would benefit from further training sessions. She will make a fantastic addition to an active household who want a loving companion.

Barney is a gorgeous little dog, he has a beautiful personality, always smiling and playing. Barney loves to give you a kiss and a cuddle and enjoys being fussed and stroked, in fact any attention is most welcome. Barney can pull a little on his lead at first, but walks well during a walk. Barney loves to play with his toys and enjoys showing them off to you! He will make a wonderful companion to most households.

Snow came to the centre with 7 of his brothers and sisiter (who we called the 7 dwarfs!) when they were very young. He is now old enough to be rehomed and is looking for a friendly female companion. He is a sweet largish rabbit who can be a little shy initially but soon comes out of his shell and enjoys a cuddle.
